On 16th-October’2021 (Saturday), our afternoon PM-Session (2:00pm to 3:30pm) for PALS & CALS (Patients & Carers) with the topic of the day on “Improving QOL & Communication in MND”; by speaker Huang Huixin and Melinda Lim Wei Jing from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.<\/h2>\n

(1) Huang Huixin is a senior occupational therapist working in Tan Tock Seng Hospital with 15 years of clinical experience.\u00a0 She obtained her Msc Occupational Therapy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2010.\u00a0 She co-developed the clinical guidelines for management of patients with MND under Occupational Therapy Department and is also a core member of the Advanced Neurology Team.<\/h3>\n

(2) Melinda Lim Wei Jing graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Queensland and is currently a Principal Speech working at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.\u00a0 She had over 10 years of experience working mainly in Singapore but also in Melbourne, Australia.\u00a0 She is a keen advocate for patients who have communication and swallowing disorders due to underlying neurological diseases.<\/h3>\n
